I was able to sneak onto Mom’s computer and get this posted. Woo Hoo! My friend Becki, over at A Walk Though the Valley hosts this awesome MeMe, and I thought I was going to have to miss out on it this week. I have A LOT to be thankful for!
I did not have any help with laundry. Well, what do you expect in a house full of boys.
I had 5 loads of laundry to do last night, and I worked at the mall until 9 PM. Anyway, the reason for my posting. My dryer has decided that the auto detect setting is not going to work. It does not completely dry our clothes. This led to mildew not to long ago.
To avoid mildew, I have to use the timed setting for most loads, it is 90 mins. Yep. 5 loads of laundry at 45 min wash time and 90 min dry time. BLEH! I played with my new blog some between loads but about 2 AM I decided to sleep between loads. Last one is in the dryer now. Too bad I actually need to pack things out of that load. Otherwise I would just leave it here.
Off to finish packing. Love you all and see you in a week!
Over at Lessons from the Laundry Kathy is sharing her best tips for the laundry. If you are like me, you need them. Plus, if you comment on the post this week, you will be entered into a drawing that will help you with this weeks tip.
I never win these things, but they are always fun. Stop by and check it out.
*I have not been following a lot of the old blogs lately. I am enjoying catching up with some, and crying and praying with others.*
Yes, I really am leaving, but I am still folding laundry.
Welcome to A Cup of Tea with Me. For those of you who are new here, I took two older blogs and combined them. I have plans for new additions as well. I look forward to sharing with you all.
I would like to thank Becki for all her support, and Heather, not only for her support but for her beautiful design. I also want to thank all my friends at Blog Mommas and MMAD. You ladies ROCK! Your prayerful support is appreciated.
I will not be doing a lot of posting on here until after the 19th, as I will be on vacation. If I can sneak on with out bothering my family, I will stop by, though.
It did not start out well. Actually it started out very poorly. My hubby and boys made up for it. There were no presents. That was fine with me. It really was.
I cried while talking to my mother, as it was my grandaddy’s birthday, too, and I miss celebrating with him.
My boss forgot it was my birthday, but that is actually quite funny because it was hers too! She turned several shades of red when I gave her a present and she said “That’s right. This is the 11th!” She is so funny!
The Dr office just called. They had a mess up on 2 of my blood tests, so I am back out the door to get my blood taken AGAIN. Oh well, maybe we will have answers soon.
I turn 37 tomorrow, and I am having a hard time with it. 37 and already (most likely) have arthritis in my hips.
Oh well, God’s will be done!
While I am out, I am going to Face Logic and getting a facial. OOOOH! I cannot wait. My mom gave me a gift certificate to there for my birthday.
done something really bad?
I have recently. I went into hiding, because I was afraid I would say or do something hurtful. Yeah I know, I should have been honest and up front and told everyone what was happening and why. I did not. I am so sorry.
I went to try to apologize to someone for this. I really wanted her to know that I was so sorry. When I went to talk to her, I misspelled her name. ACK! Yes, that looked and sounded sincere. *rolling her eyes* I am such a lousy friend. I really am.
My deepest apologies to all of you out there in the blogosphere.
5 Minutes for Mom is hosting a Blog Party, and I thought we could carry on the celebration here, too.
*I forgot to introduce myself LOL!*
My name is Melissa. I am a part time stay at home mom, who is about to return full time the the world of the work outside the home mom. My hobbies are studying God’s word, blogging and hanging out with my friends. I love my kids. I have 2 boys ages 15 and 9. I have been married to my beloved husband for almost 12 years now. I hope you enjoy your stay.
I have baked a chocolate cake, laid out a veggie tray with carrots, celery, dill pickles, both green and black olives, and broccoli. There is ranch dip, peanut butter dip and hummus. We have Diet Coke, milk and bottled water for drinks. *I just put out the tea, too. I forgot it. How could I forget tea?*
I will show you around my corner of the blogosphere.
This is my personal blog. The one that I use as a diary, for my life. Nope, not many secrets here. Not many at all.
My Journey is my blog about my testamony. I feel it is important to show the less perfect side of our lives to those who are not believers. You see, no one is perfect. We all make mistakes. God knows I have made my fair share of them.
Faith Filled Wives is my blog about being a Christian wife, and showing God’s love to our husbands by living faith filled lives. I also take time to comfort the Christian wife, married to the unbeliever. That can be very hard sometimes, and I know that they need encouragement.
I hope you enjoy your stay. It will be a fun week. (((hugs))) and God bless you!
