Tasty Thursday
Trista, over at The Pumpkin Patch has started Tasty Thursday. I love it! I will be participating in this one as well as Thankful Thursday.

Mayonnaise CakeOven 350 degrees
flour 2 9″ cake pans - When you flour your pans use cocoa instead of flour. It keeps white marks off your pretty chocolate cake.
3 cups flour
1 1/2 cup sugar
5 T cocoa
2 1/4 t baking soda
2 1/4 t baking powder
3/4 t salt
1 1/2 cup mayonnaise or miracle whip salad dressing
1 1/2 cup water
2 t vanilla
bake for 20 min or until toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean
We use canned frosting when cooled, but if you have a great creamy chocolate frosting recipe, I would love to hear about it.

Now that is an interesting recipe!!! I guess it would kinda be the same affect as a Sour Cream cake! May have to try that. Thanks for participating!

LOL! Sorry, Shalee.
Trista, and any one else who is interested. This is my MIL’s recipe. It was my hubby’s most favorite cake when he was growing up.
It still is his favorite cake but he only gets it on special occasions now.
