Teens Driving

Wednesday, February 28th, 2007

My oldest got his driving permit yesterday. My “baby” is driving, even if it is only with someone over 21 in the car.

My hubby is loving teaching him how to drive, though.

He will not get his real DL until October, when he turns 16, though.

7 Things:

Tuesday, February 27th, 2007

7 things you may not know about me:

1) I check my email and message boards first thing in the morning.

2) I spend way to much time on the computer, but do not seem to have time to do anything. LOL! I am stretched way to thin.

3) I love my dog almost as much as I love my kids.

4) I will not name my kids on my blogs. Several reasons, I have a blog and it gets VERY personal. I do not want my kids to be embarrassed or singled out because of it, and I have had an internet stalker in the past and it scares me that some one might not be who they say they are and could hurt my kids

5) I used to play MMORPGs and lived my life through the pixels on the screen.

6) I am doing Weight Watchers to loose weight.

7) I try really hard to be upbeat and friendly all the time. If I am withdrawn it usually means I am in a bad mood and cannot mask it (been like this a lot lately).

Sermon this past Sunday

Monday, February 26th, 2007

My pastor has been known to be a “toe stepper” in the past. However, yesterdays sermon took the cake. He did not step in toes, he stomped on feet!

Any one who is married, or is getting ready to be married needs to hear this sermon! Not a dry eye was in the auditorium at the end of it, even the manly men where speechless. When I got to my Sunday School class it was all we could talk about.

His sermon. Listen to it. If you have kids, download it and play it for them just before they get married. EVERY married couple needs to know this! I will be buying this on CD and listening to it every time I need a reminder.

Thankful Thursday

Thursday, February 22nd, 2007

This will be my first time to participate in Thankful Thursday. But there are a lot of things to be thankful for in my life, and I do not say it often enough. I look forward to getting into this every week.

I am thankful for our Heavenly Father, His love, His patience, His guidance, His forgiveness, His will and His peace.

3 Things I am Most Thankful For

Friday, February 16th, 2007

I have been tagged by Angela.
Thanks, I needed this today! :)

1. I am thankful for my Lord and Savior. God is great. He knows our needs and provides for us. He never puts more on us than we can bear, and He is always with us. He never expects us to go through things alone. We may not always feel Him, but we can take refuge in the knowledge He is always with us. Thank you, God!

2. I am thankful for my beloved husband. He is a great husband and father. He provides well for his family, both physically and emotionally. We may have our differences, but what relationship does not?

3. I am thankful for friends that remind us of what all we have to be thankful for. :)

Tough Times

Friday, February 16th, 2007

I cannot go into the entire thing, but I just had to share. I am going through a tough time right now. The enemy is attacking left and right, and he is actually starting to get to me. :(

Someone very close to me had her husband of 21 years leave. This person needs lots of prayer and support. Even worse. They have a 14 year old daughter. She is so angry and hurt. It was pretty much just out of the blue. No one was expecting it. If you would please keep “V” and “K” in your prayers, I would greatly appreciate it. Actually, I also believe that her husband needs prayers. I am not sure what happened, but I do know that this once strong Christian man is not walking with God right now.

Making Pancakes

Thursday, February 8th, 2007

Six -year-old Brandon decided one Saturday morning to fix his parents pancakes He found a big bowl and spoon, pulled a chair to the counter, opened the cupboard and pulled out the heavy flour canister, spilling it on the floor

He scooped some of the flour into the bowl with his hands, mixed in most of a cup of milk and added some sugar, leaving a floury trail on the floor which by now had a few tracks left by his kitten.

Brandon was covered with flour and getting frustrated. He wanted this to be something very good for Mom and Dad, but it was getting very bad.
